  Would not recommend for canoeing. There were downed trees all through out the river. We got stuck on or between logs many times. Was more of a stressful experience than a fun experience. Maybe we would have enjoyed it more if we had taken kayaks out, although we ran into people kayaking who described it as an "obstacle course." It was a beautiful river, but very difficult for canoeing.
